EIRIS data for 2011 shows a new high for ethical investment of £11.3bn in Green and Ethical retail funds. Worldwise Investor have put the figure as high as £21.8bn at 30th September 2011, but this includes a much wider range of thematic funds. What is not in doubt is that the amount of money in this field is growing, but this is perhaps as much a reflection of the widening scope of 'ethical' investing and the changing terminologies as a growing investor interest.
